6.6/10

I had a mixed experience at the Wailea Beach Resort. The location was ideal, with beautiful views and proximity to shopping. However, I faced several service issues and some amenities were lacking. Overall, the resort has potential but requires improvements in service consistency.

Rooms
6.0
The room I stayed in was clean and had a decent size, but amenities were basic. I expected more from a high-end resort like this. Also, I faced issues with room assignment and noise from staff during early mornings.
Service
5.0
While some staff were friendly and helpful, overall service felt inconsistent. I had a challenging time with communication and issues regarding my booking that weren't handled well.
Location
9.0
The resort's location is beautiful, right next to sandy beaches and close to great shopping and restaurants. I loved walking along the coastal path.
Dining
5.0
The dining options were somewhat pricey, and I found some meals to be below par, which was disappointing. I expected better quality given the price.
Facilities
6.0
The facilities were decent, but I was frustrated with the reserve-only cabanas and lack of pool availability due to construction. Plus, there was a limited selection of amenities in the room.

6.6/10

I had an very nice stay at the Wailea Beach Resort with my family. The kids absolutely loved the various pools, especially the one with the giant slides. However, the rooms felt a bit dated and the air conditioning didn't quite keep the humidity at bay, which was a drawback.

Rooms
6.0
Our room was spacious with a stunning view, but showed signs of wear and had a small bathroom. I noticed some bugs and the AC was less effective.
Service
7.0
The staff were friendly and accommodating, though I felt the service could be more personalized, especially given the size of the resort.
Location
8.0
The resort's location is excellent, with beautiful beaches and shops within walking distance, but access to the beach was a bit inconvenient due to the distance.
Dining
5.0
Dining options were somewhat limited, particularly for dinner, and room service was not up to par with the quality I'd expected, which was disappointing.
Facilities
8.0
The resort's facilities are impressive, from the infinity pools to the game room, but I felt the beach access needed improvement given the resort fee we paid.

5.4/10

Overall, I had a decent stay at the Wailea Beach Resort, but it wasn't without its flaws. The resort's outdoor areas and amenities, especially the multiple pool options, were good. However, I found my room cramped and not as comfy as expected, which really affected my experience. Dining had its highs and lows too, with some meals being tasty while others surprisingly missed the mark.

Rooms
6.0
My room was cramped and had a poorly set-up bathroom with no fan, leading to steamy conditions. The one-bedroom ocean suite was not as spacious as advertised, although the view was nice.
Service
7.0
Service was attentive and friendly, from check-in with kukui nut necklaces to helpful staff at the pool bars. However, they couldn't help with the room temperature issue.
Location
9.0
The location is beautiful and offers great access to nearby beaches and shops, which I really appreciated. Plus, the views from the pools are stunning.
Dining
6.0
Dining was hit or miss—mainly enjoyed the food at Humble Kitchin, but the food at the poolside food truck was disappointing. I did love having a Starbucks on-site for quick coffee runs.
Facilities
8.0
The facilities, like the multiple pools and cabanas, were fantastic and well-maintained. I also enjoyed the addition of activities like immersive games and live music.

7.2/10

I enjoyed my five-night stay at Wailea Beach Resort, finding the hotel well-maintained and the staff friendly. The location next to the Shops at Wailea was fantastic, though I did face some challenges with room upgrades and pool chair reservations. Overall, it was a good experience, but there are areas for improvement.

Rooms
7.0
Our room was comfortable and offered a nice garden view. However, I noticed it lacked some of the island vibe I was expecting during a stay in Maui.
Service
6.0
While most staff members were incredibly friendly, I felt there were gaps in communication, especially concerning upgrades and pool chair management. Long wait times at the front desk were frustrating.
Location
8.0
The resort's location was beautiful and right next to the vibrant Shops at Wailea, which made dining and shopping easy. However, the beach access was quite a walk, which was a bit inconvenient.
Dining
7.0
I enjoyed dining at the Starbucks for a quick breakfast, and the poolside lunch options were decent, albeit pricey. The Happy Hour at Humble Market Kitchin was also a highlight.
Facilities
6.0
The amenities around the resort were impressive and included multiple pools. However, the construction noise from the renovation of Hale 2 impacted the vibe during my stay.

6.0/10

My seven-day stay at Wailea Beach Resort was a beautiful experience overall. The resort features stunning oceanfront views and updated rooms, although I had some initial hiccups with my room type and minor issues with wear and tear. The dining options could use improvement, particularly in service speed, but the resort’s location made exploring nearby shops and restaurants easy. Despite some areas needing better management, I found the overall atmosphere luxurious and inviting, making it well worth it.

Rooms
9.0
Our room was tastefully updated with modern Hawaiian decor, featuring granite countertops and a walk-in shower. There were some minor wear-and-tear issues, but the view from our balcony was stunning.
Service
8.0
The highs of our experience included friendly staff and really good customer service, particularly from MeiLi, who went above and beyond to ensure our wedding event was seamless. However, I did notice some understaffing at the front desk and during activities.
Location
10.0
The resort is situated in an ideal area, providing easy access to Wailea Beach and nearby shops. The surroundings were absolutely beautiful, with dramatic ocean views that made each stroll enjoyable.
Dining
7.0
While the breakfast buffet was quite pricey, we found dining options convenient, although the service at breakfast was slow. There were plenty of nearby eateries that we enjoyed as alternatives.
Facilities
8.0
The infinity pools were beautiful and well-maintained, though I found many loungers reserved for a fee, which was a bit disappointing. Overall, the resort offers great amenities but could improve with less paid access services.
